Fixed Wireless Broadband Capabilities for Federal Clients

Keltek’s fixed wireless broadband expertise is a significant differentiator in the federal market. Many government campuses, annexes, and satellite facilities require high-speed inter-building connectivity that cannot practically or economically be addressed with trenched fiber. Our licensed millimeter wave (mmWave) solutions deliver carrier-grade, interference-protected links – at a fraction of the cost and timeline of traditional conduit-and-cable approaches – with zero street-level disruption and no easement requirements.

Proof of performance: In 2015, Keltek/Nexterra – working with FiberTower (whose mmWave spectrum portfolio was later acquired by AT&T to power its 5G network) – delivered Montgomery County’s landmark “ultraGig” link: a 1 Gbps wireless connection from Atlantech Online’s Silver Spring Data Center to the Silver Spring Innovation Center, unveiled at a ribbon-cutting with County Executive Ike Leggett. The link runs at 99.999% reliability at no additional cost over the facility’s prior, far slower service.
